Here’s a likeness exercise based on Ewan McGregor as the iconic Mark Renton from Trainspotting.

I originally started this project a few years ago, but the first version never went beyond a ZBrush render. I decided to revisit it and push it further—this time with proper skin textures (XYZ as a base with adaptations), Maya XGen for the hair, and lighting/rendering in Unreal Engine, aiming to match the lighting and mood of the film reference.
This project has been a true test of patience and precision, with countless tweaks to refine the features and capture the character’s expression as accurately as possible.
