I was proud to be the first 3D artist to join Phoenic Block 3 and contribute to the development of their project. Under the supervision of Artistic Director and personal mentor Fabien MARIANI, we initially started with an NFT production that evolved into a full game creation.
With a wide range of assets and armor sets for each race planned in the game, a script allowed the random generation of armor, creating characters with diverse styles.
I created a large portion of these assets and the associated basemeshes. My role evolved into 3D Lead Artist when two other artists joined to assist with production. I was also responsible for managing outsourcing, pipelines, and ensuring the quality of the 3D work.
You can see here some of the characters and armor assets I worked on for creating a demo reel. We also worked on environment assets to prepare a playable demo for the game.
Unfortunately, due to a lack of funding, the project stopped and has not progressed further to date.
Those were the 6 first Characters made to illustrate the Art Direction and the 4 races the game will include.
This Gallery shows the type of iteration and variation we could do with the different assets to generate various characters. We could change the asset model but we worked also on Textures variations. Character Skin and Hairstyles textures made by Matthieu Lemoule Duparc
And here are some assets created for environment by Matthieu and myself, as explained earlier.
